Lyra's Alethiometer - His Dark Materials BBC

This is my version of Lyra's alethiometer from the BBC His Dark Materials TV series, based on the incredible trilogy of the same name by Philip Pullman. These books have always had a dear place in my heart, they even inspired the daemon-like character in my senior film.

This was painstakingly modelled in Maya from a few promotional photos and trailer screenshots, before the series aired. so I took some creative liberties with the design. Textured and rendered in Substance Painter.
